Finished up the final episode of Mad Men season 5 on Amazon, but not until after I got back from seeing Lazy Rich perform a talented set at Salt Lake City's famous venue, The Complex. When I think of electro house producers I'm thinking Zedd, Mord Fustang, Wolfgang Gartner, Lucky Date, deadmau5, Porter Robinson, Dada Life and Lazy Rich. Those have got to be the top consistent electro house DJ/Producers out right now. Sure, lots of producers make electro house tracks, ie. Alesso's Raise Your Head, but the previously listed producers are solely electro house producers - and damn, are they great at it. It was great to see LR up close last night; here's a camera picture I took up at the front row. Unfortunately, the crowd was on and off in terms of size, but there was no doubt that LR was the best DJ that walked through those doors last night. Playing a few Zedd tracks, most notably Slam the Door which was fun, using Daft Punk vocals over his original tracks, and playing his brand new Avicii remix; As the set went on, he dropped his remix of Porter Robinson's Vandalism, which had people singing. It was a powerful batch of electro house tracks, and LR did a nice job with his buildups. As a 20 year old, with a birthday around the corner in October, I must say that I cannot wait for the 21+ events, especially in Utah, the crowds will be 1000x better. All in all, the show was a good one. Brilliant lights covering the stage, a massive and crisp sound system, and being front row to see Lazy Rich do his thing, makes for a good memory.
My favorite Prog. House duo of the year, Feenixpawl with another banger...
Norman Doray never releases anything mediocre.
Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris have teamed up now; Here's a preview of their newest.
I'm sorry if this has been on the site before, but just found out about this deadmau5 track, and I can't stand it with the vocals (sorry to fans that do!), but I will never be a My Chemical Romance fan, so I looked up the instrumentals for this track, because I love deadmau5' half to the track.
