Legends Never Die
Yesterday we lost one of the most influential figures not only in hip hop but also in all music. Adam Yauch aka MCA of the Beastie Boys died of cancer and reaction of the music world was immediate. There was nobody more innovative to music world than the crew of 3 white party boys from Brooklyn. I would love to have you tell me someone who had a sound just like these guys. They changed the expectations for music with the idea of refusing to stick within regulations of one music genre which I believe resignates in what we see today in the evolution of music. So Adam, I raise my glass of brass monkey to you, drink up. We know you will watch over us and make sure good music continues to survive and advance itself.
