After a 2 week hiatus I am back with some newish Bassnectar. Bassnectar, or Lorin Ashton, is based in San Francisco, CA. He credits Metallica, Megadeth, and Nirvana for his original early influences. Lorin also was into ambient and trippy music, which he also incorporated into his own music later on. He released his album "Vava Voom" in April, which contains 11 new tracks that all have some original wobbles. For all you Bassnectar fans out there, you know that he almost never lets you down when it comes to music. He never ceases to produce new dubstep that contains original wobble sounds. I would suggest grabbing the entire album, but I've got a few of my favorite tracks below:
Here is "Ping Pong", which features a super original ping pong paddle sound that turns into the tempo for the song.
"Vava Voom" features Lupe Fiasco, marking the first collaboration between the two. I like Bassnectar and Lupe on their own, and together they are fresh.
"Do It Like This" feat. Ill Gates is a filthy track. It has an Alien sound to it... you'll know what I mean when you listen to it.
Download the whole album, it's damn good.
