I wasn't able to post anything yesterday solely because it was so nice out and I went off the grid from all technology. Today I realize that's a bit selfish. So to enjoy this beautiful weekend I decided to not go with any sort of heavy hitting house songs (at least for now) but instead some good old funky nu-disco and breakbeat tracks. So enjoy a little lovin' under the sun this weekend with some mixed drink in hand, shades on, and feet up.
"Happy Up Here" is a classic Royskopp track that really launched this electro group off the ground with great vocals and an addicting synthed keyboard melody. It deserves to be on repeat for the weekend... and maybe the rest of time.
DJ Bent is a young gun straight out of Hartford, Ct. The kid is burning through New England hot spots with his energetic sets and feel good attitude. this version of Foster The Peoples 'pumped up kicks' makes you wanna straight up kick 'em off.
