Kaskade is doing the game dirty. Kaskade makes Usher actually sound good, dude is a genius with vocals. And If your in the greater North America area this summer watch out for his Freaks of Nature tour.



And  Cedric Gervais's brings ya this fresh tune with some suggestive lyrics. It has a very similar sound to Nicky Romero's Generation 303 but slightly fresher. But side note, I have been sober for two years and I am missing the boat on who this molly character is. Sounds like she's a fun chick.

Start Your Week Right w/Mario Larrea

Okay. Mario Larrea, the Spanish born DJ (currently lives in Manhattan) who has been killing it recently, dropped one of the tracks of the year. I'm not just saying that either. This song could potentially be as huge as last year's "Pressure"or "Feel So Close" or something along those lines. It has a perfect build up with smooth female vocals and then an anthem drop that is sure to get you fucking womping. Larrea released his remix of Serge Devant's "Dice" about 3 weeks ago, but this song is wayyy too good to leave off VayaConHouse. Give it a good listen.



Also, this song was released late February so I know it's kinda old, but I forgot to post it. It's very post-worthy though. R3hab straight killin it:

Aural Destruction

As the spring time weather developes and responsibilities lighten, the ravehead in all of us seems to come out to play a little more often than he did during the colder dreadful months of the year. To me, two types of dance music become king during these feel good months: disco and electro house. I've been giving plenty of disco lately and with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike coming to barça this week, I'm gonna stick with the electro synthed goodness for you all to enjoy on your Thursday through Sunday agenda (or Tuesday through Sunday if you are truly savage). A couple of great tracks released this week that are VCH approved so enjoy:

Chuckie continues to grow as an EDM figure and this preview for his new track "Electro Dude" gives you some perspective on house the Dutch kid is taking over. He's kept true to his sound all along and it is finally really paying off:



What would an electro post be without a Cazzette bootleg? It's like having a heart with three valves instead of four. I especially love this new bootleg of the NWA classic "Straight Outta Compton" because it has some serious attitude that would even Eazy-E would quiver over in his grave:



Gregori Klossman has been propelling himself to the mainstage of Electro House for a while now. His remixes such as his re-work of the Gaga single "Americano" as well as his originals such as "I am the Law" don't ask for your approval, because they are going to destroy your ears either way. So why not spend an hour listening to it?

Though I had a great time in Rome last week I think a part of my heart is missing after missing out on Hardwell in Barcelona last week. Any chance you get to see him is an opportunity that can't be missed. This new remix of Rihanna's hit single "Where Have You Been?" only makes my heart throb more. Damn you Hardwell... damn you:



At least I can remedy the pain of missing Hardwell by proudly stating that I saw Nicky Romero here in Barcelona and he destroyed the club. He dropped this new track "Tension" at the gig and the crowd immediately fell in love:



Looking back less than a year from now Tommy Trash was amongst a group of up and coming artists coming into form. Fast forward to now and the Australian native has re-defined electro house. This remix of Nicky Romero's record "Toulouse" shows his signature 'trashed' style:



I've been waiting for this next one by Firebeatz for a while. "Miniman" is sure to be a classic. I don't want to undermine the song since I'm not sure there are words in any official language to give the energy this song provides justice. Just check it out:

Epic Summer Festivals + banger included

Okay. There are 3 INSANE summer electronic music festivals that I'm sure you have definitely heard of before, but you do NOT want to miss any of these. Yes I know they can get expensive but it's honestly so worth it.

First, we have Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas (EDC) from June 8-10. I went to this last year and had the time of my fucking life. It is 100% better than Ultra, believe me. The lineup is everything ultra has plus Kaskade and Swedish House Mafia, and hopefully Deadmau5. The lights, fireworks, stages, people, rides, and just well run festival is something you got to go to before you die.



Second is Tomorrowland in Belgium, from July 27-29th. This is Europe's sickest festival for sure. It might even be better than EDC, I'll find out this summer. The lineup promises to be as epic as EDC and the vibe that tomorrowland brings is fucking nuts. Just watch the after movie. If you can possibly make it out to Belgium for this insane weekend, do it. Thank me later.

Third we have Electric Zoo in New York. The Phase 1 lineup just got released and god damn its fucking good. They honestly don't even need the other phases because I already know who I'm going to see at this thing. From Wolfgang Gartner to Tiesto to Above and Beyond to Axwell the party won't stop all weekend. For all you East Coasters this is probably the easiest one to get to since it's in NY. Tickets are on sale now for all three events, so snag one while you can.

Letting Go

Its a cloudy and calm day here in Barcelona as the day nears its end. With that being stated my mood of music is seeming to match the mood of the fog rolling over Mont Juic. For me, today, things are moving a little more tranquil than your typical 128 BPM banger(speaking of 128 BPMs, check out Diplo's new book 128 BPM here). And an easy going day calls for some easy going music to ease the mind and soul. So if you're feeling the same way take a moment and allow yourself to let go in the depths of some aural remedies:



Dragonnette has for a long time been a well known and respected voice in the dance music world. Singing over a couple big Martin Solveig tracks such as "Big in Japan" and "Hello" and then her collabo with Don Diablo in "Animale". Her most recent single "Let it Go" has been a hit but The Knocks remix gives it an uplifting element it seemed to perhaps be missing in the original:



Diplo's record label Mad Decent has grown exponentially over the past year and the plethora of up and coming talent under the Philly based label shows promise for the Mad Decent future. If you don't believe me check out this minimix by Dawn Golden and Rosy Cross that really could slow down anyone's hectic day to a complete chilllerrr stop:



Viceroy has continued his growth not only in popularity, but in maturity as an artist. Trin-kid Austen Afridi seems to be mastering his summertime feel sound which begs the question... Why can't it just always be summer?

WINTER WHITE TOUR 2012 Springfield Mass

Bingo Players, Hardwell, and Dada Life. Separate, they're pretty damn good. Together, they make one Epic Motherfucker of a show. Catch some of the madness that went down at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA in February. 

Some might think that a concert a state away isn't the right choice for some college freshman without a car. We disagreed. After weeks of planning we were sitting at the always unreliable Amtrak station 20 min after our train was scheduled to leave. After darting across the city to the convention center, we entered the massive ballroom to the sounds of booming bass, and the sight of a laser display that could rival anything they have at EDC or Ultra (Mass EDMC had just added this feature to the Winter White Tour at this tour stop). 

Bingo Players were the first act up and dazzled the crowd with their hard-hitting house beats. A high point of their set would have to be playing Kernkraft 400 to a rowdy audience. 

Next Up, Hardwell showed off why he is the best upcoming DJ of the year with a high energy set featuring his original electro insanity as well as a build-up featuring Smells Like Teen Spirit that had the entire crowd belting out the lyrics.

Finally, Dada Life went bananas, starting their set with the ever popular Antidote by Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party before dropping into some of their massive hits. They teased at Kick Out the Epic Motherfucker, before dropping it just before the end of their set.  Only Dada Life can successfully mix Cotton Eye Joe and Turbulence together, any other musician would be seen as INSANE.  But we already knew that with Dada Life.  With classic Dada antics by showering the crowd with bananas and champagne (real and blow-up), they controlled the room like no other. The audience, that consisted of mostly UMass-Amherst students, ate it up (no pun intended).

Overall, the vibe of the show was rowdy at the least, and promoters dressed up as yetis and bananas kept the crowd going by launching massive blow up "snow-balls"  through-out the room… and who can forget the go-go dancers.  Oh yeah there were go-go dancers.

Relax.. It's Just Sex

Here's a new FREE EP for a duo that we haven't featured enough on the site. Sex Ray Vision, the Los Angeles based group that creates original sounds from scratch, has released their newest work, "Relax EP". It's dope that they released the whole album for free. Each song on the album involves Sex Ray Vision's unique sound dubbed "awesome" by Ravi Parikh, one of the members of the group. It's similar to a lot of kinds of electronic music but it really is it's own sound. For the first time, they created a dubsteppy type song, "One by One" that's on here as well. There are a couple trance type tracks, like "Super Effective", and some anthem type tracks, like "Forcefield" and "Blowfish". Also look out for the hard hitting track "Orbital". If you like Porter Robinson you will love this track. Whatever your personal taste in house/electronic music, you're gonna love Sex Ray's new stuff. Also, another banger from another Los Angeles based group, No Body. Above and Beyond's track "Thing Called Love" is one of the better trance songs of the year, but No Body adds a much more intense and slapping drop than the original one in Above and Beyond's edit.
