Next, I got a song that was also aired during the Swedish House Mafia takeover. As much as I prefer Swedish House Mafia together as opposed to the members individually doing their own thing, they each manage to come out with some great tracks on their own. Sebastian Ingrosso making an unbelievable track in 2011: Calling w/ Alesso - which is currently a nomination for an International Dance Music Award, and Axwell's [re-cut] of Michael Calfan's Resurrection was his most recent, massive bomb. Every year the three put out great sounding tunes and today I'm going to share with you the preview of Steve Angello's most recent track, "Yeah."
Speaking of Alesso, check out his newest tune (release date TBA):
Madeon, a young and brilliantly talented, budding producer, is coming out with a new track. Icarus, a very retro sounding track, has been promoted by numerous big names, and in general - sir deadmau5 seems to be a big fan. Comes out tomorrow on Beatport, here it is:
Last but not least, this week I had the privelege to go see a special documentary that only came out in movie theaters for 2 nights across the nation. Re:Generation, featuring Skrillex, The Crystal Method, Mark Ronson, DJ Premiere and Pretty Lights. Basically, the Grammy's wanted to run a project in which they matched one of the previously named Djs with artists of a complete different musical genre. Google and youtube Re:Generation for more info, I enjoyed the movie a ton. Hopefully we'll see it come out online and on dvd. My favorite track from the film, hands down was Pretty Lights taking on country music, featuring LeAnn Rimes and Dr. Ralph Stanley. Here it is, and until next time!
